Cocodona250 – May 6th – 11th, 2024
One of the world’s most scenic endurance runs, the Cocodona250, takes participants on an unforgettable 250-mile journey by foot across the heart of Arizona, showcasing the breathtaking beauty and rich history of the state. From the Start Line in the Sonoran Desert near Black Canyon City, runners first trek up the mighty Bradshaw Mountains to refuel at the Crown King Saloon, then on to Prescott’s Whiskey Row, over Mingus Mountain to historic Jerome, down into the Verde Valley through Clarkdale & Sedona, then a traverse through the Coconino National Forest to the Finish Line in downtown Flagstaff. This race will test the strength and will of 250 athletes tackling rugged terrain and challenging elevations. Come out and cheer for runners from around the world. It’s fun to watch and they could use the motivation. A great place to watch runners is Whiskey Row in Prescott on Tuesday May 7th, Old Town Cottonwood on Wednesday May 8th, or Heritage Square in Flagstaff on Thursday May 9th thru Saturday morning May 11th.

Any support you want to provide will no doubt lift the spirits of the athletes. On a hot day a water sprayer or garden hose can be amazingly refreshing, a cold cup of lemonade can quench a dry mouth, and a cheer can bring a smile. Any positive encouragement you provide will be appreciated.
